I'm in a social science area which allows me to have students who can involve their families in some of the classwork via discussions, surveys and opinion polls and more. So far the results have been more than promising. They've paid off in students getting more support and understanding from families, co-workers, supervisors and friends. This ripple effect can be useful in helping to promote the value of education today.
